Are all words that I’ve regularly heard on my EPIC 10 day adventure of London! And sadly… it finally ends as all good things do.
What an amazing city and an amazing place. I’ve learnt (the hard way) that when your talking about your ‘pants’ it means ‘underwear’. Be warned!! Instead, in these parts they say the very proper word of ‘trousers’ and mixing them up can lead to a stack of embarrassment and laughs!
Arriving here only 10 days ago I’ve seen everything from the colourful vibrant sights of Camden Lock, the bustling streets of Piccadilly Circus and Oxford, quiet hidden charms of London lanes and pubs, the crown Jewels and even come within a stones throw from Lizzy, Queen of England – Yep I actually saw her!!! And I’ve been lucky enough to stay with and see my mates who’ve been living here for 4 years or so.
I even got out and about and found another ‘inner circle’ of a different kind – see the Stonehenge picture – those rocks have been around as long as if not longer than the pyramids!!! But not everything has to be out there and expensive – If you’re over this way and want a fun filled time on a shoestring check out “1000 things to do in London for under £10” – a book by ‘TimeOut’! (Check out the book depository.com as they have free postage world wide!!!) Here is a link right to it for you http://www.bookdepository.com/book/9781846701580/?a_aid=112233
Do you ever feel like when you travel something inside you changes? That you see things around you in a new way that you haven’t imagined before? Well, for me this trip has been totally life changing! I am SO glad I took the unplanned risk, jumped on a plane to the other side of the world and made the most of my 2 weeks here even if it did rain every day!
I can’t wait to come back but next time with more time and funds experience all the other amazing things this city has to offer and have more life changing moments! Have you ever had those moments in your life that change things for ever?! Share them in the comments below. I’d love to hear your experience!
You only live once…. right?
Nick

Hi Nick
Glad you’ve had a good time in the UK – it might be small in comparison to Oz, but it’s packed full of things to do & see. You’ll need to come back several times (or for longer) to do it justice.
Hope you have a safe trip back home and your business really takes off.
Hilary
P.S. Did you mean bullocks (young bulls) or with an ‘o’ instead of the ‘u’?!
Hey Hilary,
Yeah spelling just isn’t my strong suit! I guess that one got past spell check. I did mean BOLLOCKS! hahah Didn’t realise that’s how its spelt!
I definitely want to return to the UK because there are soooo many cool places to visit and things over there are truly ancient and I loved the culture! Oh and I had to bring back PIMMS for people back hear to try. Never heard of it till I went there!
Keep an eye on this site… You’ll get to watch my business Rocket into outer space! hahah!
Nick
haha … so did ya hear wanker? the yank’s love that word.
and did @simondodd teach you any cockney slang?
Alex
ps – ya should have let me know you were going to stone henge i would have come 100% with ya.
Hey Alex,
Yeah we use ‘wanker’ here too. I’ll have to hit Simon up for some cockney slang. Only times i’ve heard it used was in Oceans 12 and Austin powers. Crazy talk but a good laugh.
Woulda been good to have you along to the Stonehenge trip – would have made it easier to get pics proving I was there hahah – I think I bothered about 5 randoms to help me get pictures. It was a pretty cool sight even if it was next to the highway! And I picked up a ‘Stonehenge Shot Glass’ as a souvenir. I try to get one from most place I visit away from home! They are always a hit a parties!
