Wow.. So this is where it all begins.
A week and a half ago I would never have thought that I’d be flying to London on the other side of the planet making my first blog post and starting an internet business! And I hope to help others who follow my journey.
How did it all come about I hear you ask??? Let me explain…
My name is Nick Lawless, I’m from Brisbane Australia, I just turned 30. Let me tell you… When you hit 30 you review your life and I realised if I ever wanted to get somewhere in my life and achieve all the things I’ve dreamed about I really needed to take action. BIG action and FAST!
So I’m going after my dreams with energy and dedication. I want to make sure that from now on I become my own boss and reach financial freedom!!! Now that I’ve met Alex Jeffreys I have no doubt I can achieve that!
About 18 mths or so ago I found this guy online called Alex Jefferys. If you haven’t heard of him Google him! I’m not the kind of person that is very trusting of Randoms on the internet and I followed him for almost 18mths. Only recently I started helping a friend drive traffic to his blog using tools I’d learned from Alex’s free reports… and to my surprise it was actually working.
So how did I end up in London??
Well I recently got an email from Alex offering VIP access to his Instant Profit Seminar.. but it was in London. I pretty much didn’t even consider it but that burning desire to make changes in my life now that im 30 just kept eating away at me. I knew that I needed to do something different and I needed help cuz I didn’t know how to make it happen.
Worst case senario I would see my friends in the UK and have blown $2500 on an airfare. It was a risk but there’s no reward without risk. At least I would have free access to the seminar right?!!!
So I went (thanks Alana, Nath and Dan for the rooms to crash at!). And I was blown away by the truly valuable content that was given to us for free that we could start using right away to build a business online and make money. I was shocked that this guy (and seriously google him – he is well known) took time to have a beer with me after the conference and have a chat. He comes across as genuine and passionate about changing the face of marketing on the internet and I’m excited to be joining him on this journey (I’ve become part of ‘Alex’s Inner Circle’) with all the big things he’s got planned!
I was also very fortunate to meet soooo many like minded people and people willing to help me out (I really know nothing – this blog has taken me 2 days to get going!!)
What now…
My first goal is to make back my airfare (investment)!
So I’ve set up this blog for the people of the Alex’s Instant Profits Seminar to continue to network, share our skills and help each other grow their business and to document my journey in becoming the success from Down Under (Australia)!
I’m going to try some of the stuff over the next few days that we learned so come back and see how its going… I’ll let you in on my secrets!! hahah…. But for the rest of the day I’m gunna go and check out LONDON!!!!

Well done for taking action so quickly and for getting your blog up – I like it, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. it’s wonderful to hear your story and it was certainly fantastic to meet you in person at the seminar too- you’re gonna be a big success – I can already see it and you are definately in great hands to learn from probably what I and many consider as one of the best internet marketing mentors that one could ever possibly meet and learn from!!!

Hi Nick,
I think it does it automatically because if you click on your blog post title, it should display the whole blog post and the comments below on the same page. If you were thinking about displaying the blog post comments along with the blog post on the home page (the first page that sombody arrives when they visit your blog) then I don’t think it’s possible, plus it would look quite chaotic when you post your next blog post. If you take a look at other blogs, you will notice that they is usually a preview of the blog post, and they if you wanted to read more, then you would click the blog post title, and the page would then load the whole blog post and comments on the same page. If you are interested in having preview of your blog post on your main page (which is going ot be usefull in the long term) then there a good plug-in called “Post Teaser ” which many use.

Great looking blog, I agree with Nigel its clean and aesthetically pleasing, in time it will become a great resource to come back to again and again.
The RSS feed kinda happened by accident, it came with the theme I’m using and I don’t even know if it works.
That just goes to show that you don’t need to know what you’re doing to get started. I still haven’t worked out how to get a picture to display next to my posts/replies 🙂

I didn’t know how to get my picture to show up either until today! Nigel told me about ‘Gravatar’. Basically it is like a portable ID that will show your pic and info on other blogs when you post. Its tied in to your email. You can even put in a one liner on it about who you are and a link to your site! Check it out… http://www.gravatar.com
